Elk River Loop.
This loop takes in scenic roads in North Central Idaho and the Palouse in Idaho and Eastern Washington.
See Elk River If you want to add in a few extra miles, then follow ID8 from Bovill, ID to Elk River, ID where the pavement runs out. Retrace your route to Bovill to rejoin the loop.
Additionally, if you are wanting to add some more adventure, enjoy well-maintained gravel roads and ride from Elk River to Orofino via the Dent Bridge over the North Fork of the Clearwater River. From the Dent Bridge to Orofino, the road is not paved but is well-traveled compacted gravel. You can return from Orofino to Moscow via the Orofino Grade, Kendrick and Troy route.
Add in Kendrick For a few extra miles, turn south in Troy on ID99 to Kendrick and then follow ID3 from Kendrick back to Deary where you can rejoin the loop. This adds in a few more curves and some great scenery south of Deary.
Return to Moscow on US95 To shorten the loop, turn south on US95 in Potlatch and return to Moscow. This eliminates the portions of the loop in Eastern Washington.
